Speech Pathology

Speech Pathology services in our clinic include the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of individuals having difficulties in speaking, listening, understanding and in swallowing foods & fluids. A Speech Pathologist can also help individuals who are unable to communicate effectively due to Voice & Fluency difficulties as well as those who have impaired social interaction skills.

The initial assessment session, in the Clinic, will include a detailed case history and analysis of the client’s Speech, Language, Swallowing and Social interaction skills. If required, the clinician will also conduct further assessments (&/or refer the client to other professionals for an evaluation) to obtain more information on the client’s condition. This will enable the clinician to establish a possible cause of the problem and obtain a clear picture of the client’s communication abilities. Based on the assessment results, a person – centered treatment plan will be developed for each client.

Detailed assessment reports can also be provided for the purpose of NDIS funding, specialist reviews, educational funding applications etc.
