Specialises in Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) with expertise in nose and sinus related issues, ear surgery, hearing problems, mouth breathing as well as other issues.
Mr David James is a fully qualified Ear, Nose and Throat and Head and Neck Surgeon. He attended the University of Sydney Medical School. General surgical training followed at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, and Ear, Nose and Throat and Head and Neck surgical training completed at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, with Masters of Surgery by research in restoring and protecting hearing function when working with the Bionic Ear Institute and the University of Melbourne Department of Otolaryngology.
After becoming a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Mr James completed formal training advanced fellowship in Rhinology in at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital specialising in functional rhinoplasty and advanced endoscopic sinus sugery and has attended advanced endoscopic skull base surgery workshops with Professor PJ Wormald in Adelaide.
Mr James is attached to the Head and Neck Surgery Unit of the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital (encompassing Sinus Surgery, Otology and Head and Neck Cancer)
Mr James has been an invited speaker at international conferences, and presented his original research nationally and internationally. He has contributed research to successful National Health and Medical Research council successful grant applications.
In his time off, he likes to spend time with his wife and two children, particularly camping trips, play tennis and recording and playing music.
